Doc ‘n the Croc comprises
simply a flugelhorn and guitar for easy listening
to accompany a cocktail party. When people want
to hear and be heard - by those around them.
Jeremy Olivier, a native of Zimbabwe,
where the Crocs grow big and wild, has reluctantly
accepted the title, Croc. To be sure his wonderful
smile can be compared to this giant animal, but
his nature is as much unlike a Crocodile as can
be and suits him perfectly for the wonderful music
he plays and sings. Michael Blake met Jeremy at
a musical function where they were asked to perform
at the last moment. Their spontaneous meeting
sparked such wonderful tones that they decided
to keep playing on and on. The result is something
quite magic!
Jeremy’s background is mostly
jazz and folk, while Michael has been active as
a classical musician for decades, having performed
throughout the USA and Europe, finally settling
in Cape Town in 1986. He has performed
with the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra until fairly
recently, when he decided to go freelance and
to do more teaching. |
